Paying for HoLEP
While we accept most insurance plans, your plan may not cover care outside your home country. However, HoLEP laser surgery in Mexico costs a fraction of what the same treatment costs in the United States, so you may find that you pay less for your care here than you would even with insurance in your home country.
Consultations with Dr. Herrera are $85 and include a thorough breakdown of the procedure and a personalized treatment recommendation.

How HoLEP Treats
an Enlarged Prostate
HoLEP stands for holmium laser enucleation of the prostate. It is a minimally invasive laser surgery that treats benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition that enlarges the prostate and prevents urine from passing freely through the urethra. During HoLEP, Dr. Herrera reaches the prostate through the urethra, uses a holmium laser to separate the tissue blocking urine flow, and removes it. No external incisions are required.
